However, there are only two accessible parking spots in the PNC garage. It is highly recommended to valet your vehicle and enter through the front doors/main entrance. This entrance is wheelchair accessible, and the bellhop will be present to assist with luggage. The front desk is located to the right of the main entrance. Uber, Lyft and shuttles also drop off at the main entrance.

The meeting spaces are on the second and third floors and can be accessed via the elevator from the guest rooms. To move between floors, guests may use the guest elevators or the PNC elevators. The guest elevators are on the west side of the hotel, and the PNC elevators are on the east side of the hotel.

Ballroom Accessible Entrance

The primary entrance adjacent to the stage, designated as the first door at the front of the ballroom, is exclusively reserved for as an accessible entrance. Furthermore, a few tables positioned at the forefront of the ballroom are specifically reserved for those using accessible seating and their companions/guests. To assist in navigation, signage will be placed to guide you to these reserved areas.

Seating

In each breakout room, the first row is designated as accessible seating to ensure that every attendee is provided with the necessary space and comfort for an inclusive experience. American Sign Language interpreters will also be in attendance to facilitate communication for Deaf and hard-of-hearing participants. Attendees are kindly asked to keep clear at all times the line of sight to these interpreters, to ensure unimpeded access to the interpretation service.

Presentations

Presenters are equipped with comprehensive guidelines and a specially designed PowerPoint template to ensure their presentations are both accessible and captivating. They have also been provided guidelines that ensure all electronic communications, including PowerPoint slides, websites, videos, and other digital materials, are accessible. Moreover, presenters are advised to adopt considerate presentation techniques, such as consistent use of microphones and articulate speech, to enhance audience engagement and inclusivity.

Lactation Room

For attendees in need of privacy for pumping, nursing, or chest feeding, a lactation room is conveniently located on the third floor, across from the breakout rooms. This room provides a comfortable and quiet space, equipped to support lactating attendees during the event.

Sensory Room

In collaboration with School Specialty, the 2024 NCAA Inclusion Forum will have a Snoezelen Multisensory Room on-site dedicated to sensory accessibility. This space will provide a safe and enriching environment where users of all ages are empowered to enjoy a variety of activities that fully engage their senses, either passively or actively. This space can be used to calm and relax learning development, to help individuals with sensory processing disorders and cognitive and learning disabilities process the world around them, and to assist with individuals’ overall mental health and well-being.

Gender Inclusive Restrooms

To provide an inclusive experience for all attendees, gender inclusive restrooms will be available for all attendees, in addition to gender-specific restrooms. Clear signage and directionals will ensure that attendees can easily locate the facilities they prefer.

Prayer/Reflection Space

A dedicated prayer and reflection space will be available for attendees who need to retreat into a moment of solitude. This space is designed to accommodate people from diverse religious and spiritual backgrounds, providing a peaceful environment for prayer, meditation, or simply a pause from the day's activities.
